February 9, 2026, was a powerful reminder of what Black History Month truly represents legacy, resilience, leadership, and impact.

As a member of the Georgia Black Republican Council, serving as a Legislative Liaison and committee member, I am incredibly proud to have been part of the work that led to the official proclamation issued by Governor Brian Kemp and Lt. Governor Burt Jones.

This recognition is more than a document it reflects the continued commitment to civic engagement, policy leadership, and honoring the contributions of Black Americans across Georgia and our nation. Grateful to stand alongside dedicated leaders who are actively shaping history, not just remembering it.

Black history is American history — and we continue building it every day.
